Still Life Paintings

Based on classical Flemish still life painting from the 17th century, and painted using 19th century techniques, this still life series seeks to strip back and simplify the subject of the painting in order to maximise the effect one or two objects can have on their own using reflective surfaces and a strong chiaroscuro effect.
